We are seeing a raft of emails claiming to be from anti-virus companies, but they aren't, with an attachment approx 440kb, which is supposedly a system patch ref KB923029.
This is malware and should not be applied to your system!
Please note that your anti-virus supplier will never send you patches by email, all updates will be done via the program's own update interface, never by email. The emails we've seen so far claim to come from the following a/v companies:
Symantec
Trend Micro
Kaspersky
McAfee
ESET NOD32
and the text of the email (with incorrect spacing) is as follows:
ImportantSystem Update - requires immediate action
It's highly important to install this security update due to the new malwarecirculating over the net.
To complete the action please double click on the system patch KB923029 in theattachment.
The installation will run in the silent mode.
Please pay attention to this matter andinform us in case there is a problem.

If you get one of these emails do not open or run the attachment, just delete the whole thing immediately.
